My recommended list

Clickbank - boasts of over 10,000 digital products such as downloadable e-books and software. You can earn commissions of up to 75% per sale depending on the product. You'll receive one check for your total earnings.

Commission Junction - more popularly known as "CJ", this affiliate network has a ton of merchants that you can promote along with many "household name" companies such as eBay, Expedia, New York Times, just to name a few. You'll receive one check no matter how many companies you affiliate with.

Primary Ads - this one is relatively "unknown" but has great potential.

Clickxchange - has plenty of pay-per-sale, pay-per-click, and pay-per-lead merchants to choose from. Includes true real-time tracking of your affiliate stats. It even breaks down the traffic in terms of country and type of browser used. 

LinkShare - this is another great affiliate network with lots and lots of merchants. Hint - if you're looking for pay-per-lead in this network, hit Ctrl-F and type in the term "flat fee". 

ClixGalore - has 3 networks in the USA, UK and Australia. Boasts of over 2300 merchants.

BeFree - another popular affiliate network. However, most merchants require a minimum amount before issuing a check. Merchants include Brooks Brothers, Dell, Gap, Home Shopping Network, NASCAR, Payless Shoes, and more. (Note:BeFree has merged with Commission Junction)

Share-a-Sale - this affiliate network has a total 762 different affiliate programs to choose from.

DarkBlue - there are 220 different merchants to choose from in this affiliate network. 

Affiliate Network - you need at least 3,000 unique visitors per day to your site to join this one. English and Swedish websites only.

Quinstreet - doesn't have very many merchants. Among them are the American Red Cross, Save the Children, University of Phoenix and DeVry University. 

LeadCrunch - did not get accepted into this one, so I can't say much about it.

Traffic Generation

Traffic Secrets
A comprehensive course on traffic generation strategies for your websites. Consists of a workbook, written transcripts and a DVD set. Customers also gain access to the Traffic Secrets forum. This course is expensive but definitely worth the investment. I highly recommend it.
